Introducing Superdone

It would have been much easier to sit here and write a post about our vision, the market opportunity, the user pain and stats to support that. But I wanted to mark the beginning of our journey and first post at Superdone with something honest and heartfelt.

With the ink just fresh on the incorporation documents, I’m faced with a blank page and here is what is top of mind. For anyone that has started a business before there is an indescribable feeling of excitement and fear as you begin your journey.  You think you know what’s coming, and plan for it but in reality, the universe will change the course every hour, every day.

I’m lucky (as is my co-founder) to have been down this road before. While there will be plenty of unknowns ahead, there is some comfort in having lived the hectic, exciting, adrenaline-filled journey before. Some parts took their pound of flesh, others filled me with joy and exhilaration. There are the stretches that test everything you’ve got, and the ones that leave you energized and fulfilled. As we pick up speed and get ready to show the world what we’ve built, I wanted to share a few things that keep me fueled and getting up every day with a spark in my eye and the promise of new growth ahead.

The Support of Family

None of this happens without family. Behind every giant leap into the unknown, there is a partner or loved one helping make it possible. My wife and kids have been through this with me before. They have sacrificed time, energy, and certainty so I could chase something bold. In the last venture, they were the constant rhythm that kept me grounded through the highs and lows.

Some days you need perspective. Others, just a reminder to be present. That kind of support is the foundation beneath everything.

The Bond of Co-Founders

Co-founder stories don’t always end well. But when they work, they are something powerful. It is not just about building together. It is about showing up for each other. It is pep talks when things wobble, space when life demands attention, and a quiet toast after a 20-hour sprint. You lean on each other, cover ground together, and find your rhythm when the pace gets intense.

We met at Emerson, thanks to a professor who paired two students with “entrepreneur” scrawled across their questionnaires. He was already coding and fundraising. I jumped in, uninvited. That company was acquired, and we went our separate ways. Building together again now feels like picking up exactly where we left off.

A New Era of Technology

It feels like the pace of tech has exploded. Moore’s Law is panting just trying to keep up. Building today means letting go of the old playbooks and reimagining what is possible. AI has changed everything, from what products can do to how fast we can ship. We are no longer limited by what used to be hard.

Beyond the code, the business side has evolved too. Marketing, sales, and ops were once slow, manual grinds. Now, automation and smarter tools give small teams leverage that was once unimaginable. It is a thrilling time to be building. And an even better time to be building fast.

The Freedom to Focus

There is something rare about starting from scratch. No tech debt, no legacy blockers, no weight from the past. It is a moment when the canvas is blank and the choices are yours. You can move quickly, think freely, and build with clarity. That kind of freedom is a gift, and we are making the most of it.

This phase gives us space to go deep on the right things. We can take risks, explore new ideas, and stay sharply focused on what matters. It is not just about speed. It is about building with care, with energy, and with conviction from day one.

The Magic of Early Believers

There is nothing quite like the moment a stranger tries your product and believes in it. They are not doing you a favor, they are connecting with the value you always believed was there. That first real validation hits differently. Early adopters are not just users. They are co-builders. They help you improve, refine, and stretch your thinking.

We are building for them. Their questions, ideas, and honest feedback shape what comes next. Their energy keeps the momentum alive. These early believers are the spark behind everything we do.

I’m genuinely excited for what’s to come. I feel lucky and grateful to be on this path, surrounded by people I admire, supported by family and partners, and inspired by what we’re building together. Thanks for being here, and for being part of what’s ahead. Let’s get to work.
